There are some weddings that, even being simply a witness of, you can feel the connection between every person there as if you’re the one experiencing it.
Lindsey + Lawrence booked Loloma Lodge in Mckenzie Bridge Oregon for a weekend celebration with their closest friends and family. The property boasts several charming cabins, each filled with mementos of the past and present, an invitation to create new and unique memories in each space. Intentionally webbed over the property, the footsteps of connection to and from each cabin weaved the story of the weekend. Lindsey + Lawrence’s companions travelled from across the country to bask in the tranquility of a weekend on the river. They spent the days reminiscing on the past while kayaking on the waters, sunbathing by the shore, and enjoying late night dinners nestled together on the picnic tables.
Once it became time for the wedding that Tuesday, the air was tranquil and refreshed. Each person aided in getting the space, and themselves, ready for the celebration to come. Lindsey’s sister helped with makeup, her best friend with her hair, and her mom with the dress. Lawrence’s friends and father steamed the garments and filled the rooms with laughter. There were no nerves, as there was no production. The invitation was to just be.
Throughout the day, there were winks of the past and moments of silence to honor those not present in the physical. The sun remained present the entire day, solidifying the presence of loving energy in every space.
That energy flowed from the ceremony to the dancefloor. Laughter and tears filled the evening with an aura of authenticity, a feeling that everything was just right.
