Vintage Sapphic Elopement at the Cincinnati Art Museum
During the afternoon of April 19th, Elsi and Karli privately eloped at the Cincinnati Art Museum in true sapphic-romance-novel fashion. The blue skies and scattered spring clouds led us first to the 21C Museum Hotel where the two shared in the getting ready process together. Taking their time to adorn each other in jewelry and perfumes and wrapping their handmade bouquets in velvet emerald ribbon, the vintage frill of their fluffy white dresses danced as they touched each accessory with deep intention. There was a quiet, peaceful feeling that poured through the space that day, something often found in the private intimacy of an elopement.
Once dressed, Elsi + Karli were eager to head over to the museum to make their once in a lifetime love official in the eyes of the universe (and a paper marriage license). Married in front of a painted serene landscape they said their vows, exchanged rings, and shared in a kiss together that quickly turned into the excitement of being officially married. They explored the museum, running and twirling in heels, taking in moments to sit quietly with each other and admire the art surrounding them. Later, they poured champagne, cut cake, and eventually drove off in their vintage white corvette. An ending sufficient for any romance book – immerse yourself in the story below.
